About
Dr Raman Chhina
Dr Raman is an HCPC registered senior counselling psychologist with many years experience supporting individuals through a broad range of difficulties within the NHS. She offers a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences and develop the tools they need to create meaningful change. Raman works integratively, utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and the Person-Centred approach, to best tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client. She believes therapy is an opportunity to understand, through a compassionate lens, how life experiences may shape an individual’s story and influence their thoughts, feelings, and ways of coping.
She supports individuals through a wide range of difficulties, which may include anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, physical health conditions, low self-esteem, perfectionism, sleep difficulties, relationship difficulties, and the need to explore one’s sense of self. As a British South-Asian woman, Raman values the importance of welcoming discussions about social identities and intersectionality, to allow someone to bring their complete self to therapy.
